Huskers vs. Huskies!!

September 18, 2010

I am so, so, so, so, so lucky that I got to fly to Washington for the Nebraska Huskers v. Washington Huskies football game.  Matt flew out a little early for some appointments for work.  I wanted to hang with the kids a couple more days before enjoying my time in Seattle.  It was the perfect time away...we got to spend time with my sister, brother-in-law and niece...and all my siblings and nieces and nephew for that matter!  We had a GREAT time!  And, to say Seattle became a sea of red in the days prior to the game, is truly an understatement.  We celebrated Kim's birthday while we were there and celebrated Aubrey's birthday early (by a month)...went to Pike's Place Market, and of course enjoyed pre-game festivities and the game itself.  Thanks to mom and dad for sticking behind to watch the kiddos for us!  ♥

Happy Birthday to my wonderful sis! ♥

Happy (early) 1st Birthday, Aubrey!! ♥

Keaton wanted to make Aunt Kim a special cheesecake birthday cake.

Me & Aubs heading over to Seattle on the ferry for some Friday pre-game celebration!

Pikes Place Market...one of my favorites♥

HUGE baskets of hanging flowers everywhere...and BEAUTIFUL fresh bouquets (CHEAP) to buy!!!

Just...YUM!

Fresh Fruits and Veggies

Look at these!...and the pic doesn't do them justice.

Even the market workers must have some red blood!  :)

...would love to shop here all the time!

Friday pre-game festivities...and, yes, we did see some people we knew!  :)

GAME DAY!

Down at the Harbor...WA fans..so nice...the guys said the parties on the boats were fun

fun at the game!

Sea of red...and if I zoomed in close enough you would see Russ, Mandy, Kim and Brian standing in their seats waving at me...yes...you really can!!!

That was a fun stadium to watch a game in...our seats 2nd half were high up...but we could see great...and IT WAS LOUD!

Hard to see but end score Huskers 56 - Huskies 21!  (See the harbor from our seats?)

Now, these are some fans.  :)

Family ♥

Can't be in Seattle and not get some oysters

...not me, I'll stick with the chowder.
